GOUVERNEUR, N.Y. (WSVN) – A man trapped inside of a burning building was saved by a New York construction crew, Friday.
According to City of Gouverneur Fire officials, the construction crew used the bucket of an excavator to rescue the man from the second floor of the building engulfed in flames.
Fire rescue said the construction workers safely rescued the man prior to their arrival. A second person jumped from the second-floor window during the structure fire, as well.
Officials are calling the crew members “true heroes” for their safe rescue of the man.
There is no word on injuries sustained by anyone at the scene.
