MIAMI (WSVN) - Mac and cheese lovers should check their pantries.

Treehouse Foods, Inc. announced a voluntary recall of their macaroni and cheese cups that contain cheddar cheese seasoning, amid concerns they may contain salmonella.

Salmonella can cause diarrhea, fever, and abdominal cramps. In some cases, symptoms can be severe enough to warrant hospitalization.

The recalled products include:

  • Great Value Macaroni & Cheese original cups
  • Cheese Club Express Macaroni & Cheese dinner
  • Big Win Original Macaroni & Cheese dinner

The products were distributed nationwide. Great Value is the generic brand for Walmart.

No illnesses have been reported.

Consumers who have purchased the products are urged to either throw out or return the items to their point of purchase for a refund.

Treehouse Foods said customers with questions can call (800) 756-5781.
