MIAMI (WSVN) - New audio has been pulled by officials from a sunken cargo ship’s black box.

National Transportation Safety Board officials analyzed almost 26 months of information from El Faro’s voyage data recorder and, according to the audio, the crew discussed “loss of propulsion.”

Crew members also spoke about flooding at 6:13 a.m. The captain then ordered the crew to abandon ship at 7:30 a.m.

El Faro sank on Oct. 1 after getting caught in Hurricane Joaquin while trying to reach Puerto Rico.

Thirty-three people on board died.
