(WSVN) - Apple has launched a new program that will replace iPhone 6s batteries for free if devices unexpectedly shut down.

According to Apple, the company confirmed that a small number of iPhone 6s devices may unexpectedly shut down.

The phones affected are only within a limited serial number range that were manufactured between Sept. and Oct. 2015.

Therefore, if you have experienced this issue, visit an Apple Retail Store or an Apple Authorized Service Provider and have your device’s serial number checked to confirm eligibility for a battery replacement, free of charge.

Before you plan your visit, contact your service provider to confirm that battery replacement service is available on the day you visit them.
