HENRY COUNTY, Ga. (WSVN) — A donation jar that included hundreds of dollars to help a young boy has been stolen, according to FOX5.

The jar, which was inside of a convenience store in Hampton, had money intended to go to Jennifer Titman’s son, Ayden. The money is being raised to get Titman’s son to a medical specialist in Florida.

The 9-year-old Henry County boy has neurofibromatosis.

“It’s a disease where tumors grow on any part of the body. Right now he has tumors on his brain and one on his spine,” the boy’s mother told FOX5 Atlanta.

Titman said she put donation jars in local businesses and noticed one of the jars was gone when going around to pick them up.

Looking at the surveillance video, Titman said she could clearly see a man pick up the jar. The man left with a woman in the same vehicle.

The mother said she found photos that she believes matched the people in the video.

Detectives have not recovered the jar and, in the meantime, Titman is trying to find ways to raise the money needed for her son’s medical expenses. The mother said the treatment could cost up to $100,000.

Police later arrested two men who were charged with theft.
