THOMASVILLE, Pa. (AP) — Police say a 3-year-old girl who was found lifeless in the kitchen of a Pennsylvania home has died, and her mother was charged after being found naked in the street.

Police say the girl was found unconscious Wednesday evening in Thomasville, about 25 miles south of the capital city. The girl was hospitalized with life-threatening injuries and later died.

An autopsy is scheduled for Friday.

Police say they had to physically restrain the child’s mother, 30-year-old Regina Lester.

Lester faces charges of criminal homicide, endangering the welfare of children and making terroristic threats. It’s not clear if she has a lawyer.

Another child who had been in the home wasn’t harmed. Police say that child is now with other family members.
