FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. (WSVN) — A South Florida couple were recognized with a high honor for their efforts to help the community.
Wini and Joe Amaturo received the United Way of Broward’s highest honor: The Tocqueville Award for outstanding philanthropy.
They have been donors and advocates for the United Way of Broward for more than 20 years.
WSVN Station President Ed Ansin and Vice President Bob Leider were on-hand at Wednesday’s award ceremony in Fort Lauderdale.
Ansin received the same honor in 1995.
