The main weather change involves an uptick in rain and thunderstorms over south Florida this week.  The wetter pattern is the result of winds turning more out of the south… which will introduce more moisture for storms.   Of course, potentially heavy downpours will be possible.  If the pattern persists we could even find some instances of street flooding (by later in the week).   The unsettled conditions could carry over into the upcoming weekend.  Why might happen?  A front may stall out across north Florida, trapping a lot of tropical moisture over the region.  Speaking of the tropics, (even as Danny diminishes) there’s something new to watch.  We’re closely following the potential for a new system… out of the central Atlantic Ocean.  Stay tuned.
