LAUDERHILL, Fla. (WSVN) — A 2-year-old boy has died after, officials said, he was found unresponsive in a swimming pool in Lauderhill, Wednesday afternoon.
According to Lauderhill Police, the victim somehow got out of his home, located near Northwest 52nd Street and 85th Avenue, after his parents had put him down for a nap. His parents later found him in the pool, pulled him out and performed CPR on him until rescue crews arrived.
Lauderhill Fire Rescue responded to the scene at around 5 p.m. and rushed the child to Coral Springs Medical Center, where he later died.
The parents have not been charged at this time, but Police believe this was a tragic accident.
