Not as in J-brand or blank jeans. As in gene genes. As in distinguishable characteristics and qualities you inherit from your parents or your great aunt Bess or your uncle Marty or you first cousin removed from your grandmothers mothers father.

Having five kids this day and age is so under-rated.

In the new movie “The Delivery Man” Vince Vaughn plays a guy who finds out he’s fathered 533 kids after generously donating to a sperm bank when he was young and dumb.

Actor Chris Pratt, who stars in the TV show Parks and Recreation, plays his best friend.

Shireen: “So let’s say you have a superfluous amount of children?”

Chris Pratt: “Just a random number.”

Shireen: “What would be the one trait from you that they inherited?”

Chris Pratt: “A giant forehead. Each of my children would be identifiable with their ram like frontal lobe.”

Shireen: “I like your frontal lobe.”

Cobie Smulders from the hit tv show How I Met Your Mother plays Vinces’ girlfriend. She says if she had 533 kids.

Cobie Smulders: “I would be exhausted.”

Shjreen: “So would I.”

Cobie Smulders: “I would not be here having this conversation.”

Shireen: “What trait one trait, do you think all of them would have?”

Cobie Smulders: “Ah…interesting.”

Big foreheads and shoulder dimples. I guess it could be worse.

Cobie Smulders: “You wanna see something?”

Shireen: “Yeah, are you going to scare me?”

Cobie Smulders: “Watch, I’ll tell you when my hand goes outta frame.”

Shireen: “OK.”

Cobie Smulders: “Right there, I can’t see it anymore.”

Shireen: “Is that because of your forehead?”

Cobie Smulders: “Because of my forehead.”

Shireen: “That could be a medical condition. You have shoulder dimples?

Cobie Smulders: “I have shoulder dimples.”

Shireen: “How does that work? Do I need those?”

Cobie Smulders: “It’s sort of like, like I wish I had a better outfit to show you. bone structure is different and it goes in.””

Even though Vince shines in the movie – his two co-stars are definitely scene stealers.

Cobie Smulders: “Do you know how often I run into things?

Shireen: “A lot.”

Cobie Smulders: “Branches, overhangs.”

Shireen: “It could be called fore-head-ian.”

Cobie Smulders: “Foreheadian.”

Shireen: “Call the doctor and say I need to be treated for foreheadian. Next week it’s going to be a fad.

Cobie Smulders: “I don’t think so.”

Shireen: “Shoulder dimples, tonight on Deco Drive.”

“The Delivery Man” is ultimately about fatherhood and family so if you’re up to feeling good, you may wanna push this movie into your holiday schedule.

“The Delivery Man” opens today. Don’t miss my interviews with the cast of the new movie “Black Nativity” next week.

I sit down with Jennifer Hudson, Jacob Latimore, Forest Whitacker, Angela Bassett and Tyrese. The holidays are always good on Deco.
