GLEN ALLEN, Va. (AP) — Police say a teacher in Virginia allowed students to smoke marijuana during his shop class, and he now faces charges.

WRIC-TV reports that 23-year-old Domonic Leuzzi taught at the Academy of Virginia Randolph, a high school for academically and behaviorally challenged students. A schools spokesperson says he’s no longer employed there or anywhere in the Henrico County district.

Leuzzi faces three charges of contributing to the delinquency of a minor. According to court records, officials say at least three teens smoked under Leuzzi’s watch.

County police Lt. Chris Eley says school administrators notified police after students reported the incident.

It isn’t immediately clear whether Leuzzi had an attorney to contact for comment on the case. WRIC says reporters went to the former teacher’s home, but no one answered the door.
