MIAMI (WSVN) — A South Florida driver was taken into custody after, authorities said, he led police on a chase in a stolen vehicle that ended when he crashed on the Dolphin Expressway, Sunday afternoon.
According to Miami Police, the suspect took off when officers tried to pull over the stolen vehicle. They said the driver crashed into two squad cars in the area of Northwest 27th Avenue and 24th Street in Miami before getting on a highway.
Investigators said the pursuit came to an end on the eastbound lanes of 836 after the suspect lost control and crashed near the Northwest 37th Avenue exit.
No injuries were reported.
The driver was arrested. Charges are pending.
