SOUTHWEST MIAMI-DADE. Fla. (WSVN) — A police chase in Southwest Miami-Dade ended with a crash and bailout, Tuesday.

The incident occurred near 123rd Avenue and Southwest 109th Terrace in Miami-Dade. According to officials, undercover police units observed the suspicious vehicle when searching for possible suspects in the area due to an increase in car burglaries.

When police tried to conduct a traffic stop, the vehicle fled.

After a brief chase, the driver lost control of the car, hit a tree and then crashed into two vehicles in the driveway of a police officer’s home. Then, the suspect fled on foot.

A perimeter was set up, but police were not able to locate the suspect, and the perimeter has since been broken down.
