WSVN — If you love a good happy hour, some new ones are in full bloom just in time for spring! Belkys nerey takes us to a couple of happy hours with specials keeping your social life and wallet happy.
Nothing says spring in Miami like sangria.
Customer: “How do you not go to Miami and not have a glass of sangria, right?
Customer: The drinks are really great, but I’m really enjoying the view.”
The Mondrian South Beach is launching Sunset Sangria at La Savina.
Ryan Nielsen: “We want to kind of take that Mediterranean feeling, kind of Saint-Tropez feel.”
Monday through Friday between five to seven you can unwind in the sunshine with half price sangria.
Ryan Nielsen: “You’re out by the water and there’s no better sunset on South Beach.”
Like the sunset, the $6 sangria is hard to match.
Ryan Nielsen: “We have a pear sangria with a white Riesling. We have a sage sangria that’s paired with a beautiful Rose’ and we have a rosemary sangria with our red wine that’s a Pinot Noir.”
La Savina is also offering up a variety of light bites to savor as the sun goes down.
Ryan Nielsen: “The most perfect way to end a day whether you’re in town visiting or you’re just getting off work. There’s no better place to see that sunset in South Beach or Miami for that matter.”
If you’ve already enjoyed your time in the sun, get social at Michael Mina 74, tucked in to the iconic Fontainebleau Miami Beach.
Chef Thomas Griese: “Seven nights a week we go live with this and it is no joke. It happens seven nights a week.”
That’s right. Seven days a week, from six to eight, social hour is transforming everyone into a social butterfly.
Rogelio Flores: “They’re going to get to meet some new friends and have some great food and try some really amazing cocktails.”
Choose from the beer on tap for just $5 or get the party started with their unique barrel aged drink specials, mixed up and stored in little barrels until the time is right. No Miami happy hour is complete without a mojito. For just $8, try a sweet spin on the concoction.
Rogelio Flores: “What we’ve done is incorporate guarapo, which is freshly pressed sugar care, made a little lemongrass syrup and then finished that with club soda.”
Try the Pimm’s 74 with gin. Fresh pineapple juice, cucumber and mint. It’s sure to put a spring in your step. And you’ll get an extra treat at social hour with free food.
Chef Thomas Griese: “The bites are free and there’s no limit to them.”
Chef de Cuisine Thomas Griese is getting creative and whipping up small bites with big flavors like beef skewers, shrimp chips with tuna and meatballs.
Customer: “Delicious. A little bit of short rib on a little pastry that I heard they make in house. I want more of them.”
Customer: “It was delicious. I liked it a lot, yeah.”
Customer: “The tomato, that is one of my favorites.”
That’s enough to give everyone a little spring fever!
