FORT LAUDERDALE-HOLLYWOOD INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT, Fla. (WSVN) — Two emergency situations have kept Spirit Airlines busy in the past week.

On Tuesday night, a woman passed out about 30 minutes into her flight to Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport, according to a Spirit spokesperson. An announcement was made asking for assistance from any medical professionals on board. Passengers eventually made their way to the ill woman who said she felt cold, dizzy and shaky.

The flight landed at Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport at 8:22 p.m., where EMS was waiting.

Twitter user Paul Felarca recorded bits and pieces of the woman being helped.

The second emergency situation happened over the weekend, Saturday, and involved a diabetic woman.

This flight was also heading towards FLL. The woman asked attendants for orange juice that was quickly provided, yet it didn’t help.

Flight attendants connected with medical professionals on the ground. Spirit’s Director of Communications Paul Berry said the professionals advised the captain to divert to the nearest airport, in this case Orlando International Airport, for an emergency landing. EMS responded as the airplane landed.

The conditions of both passengers remains unknown.
