CAPE CANAVERAL, Fla. (WSVN) — Space-X’s Falcon rocket finally lifted off from Cape Canaveral on Friday, after five previous failed attempts.
Employees and bystanders celebrated as the Falcon lifted off. The Falcon rocket traveled 100 times further than the International Space Station to place a satellite that could provide Internet to remote areas of the Asia Pacific.
Rocket landed hard on the droneship. Didn’t expect this one to work (v hot reentry), but next flight has a good chance.

Unfortunately, according to a tweet from Space-X CEO Elon Musk, the landing on a sea-based platform wasn’t successful, however, he believes the next flight "has a good chance."
