WSVN — South Beach Wine & Food Festival kicks off next Thursday, and in tonight’s Style File, 7’s Belkys Nerey shows us how to get in on the foodie action for under $100.

Want to stuff your face and sip wine without draining your wallet? This year there are 15 different events at the foodie festival for under $100!

Jamie DeRosa: “It’s the best deal of South Beach Wine & Food.”

One of the standouts? Medianoches and Mixology, a late-night party at Wynwood Walls.

Jamie DeRosa: “It’s hosted by Alex Guarnaschelli. We’re going to have great food, great music. We’re going to have cocktails.”

More than 13 top local chefs will be dishing out their versions of Cuban favorites.

Jamie DeRosa: “Making everything from medianoches to Cuban sandwiches to pastelitos.”

Tongue & Cheek’s Jamie DeRosa is whipping up a traditional Cuban sandwich.

Tongue and Cheek: “With braised pork cheek, Gruyère, great bread some mustard, some mayo, some housemade pickles.”

Or how about stuffing yourself with some puffs? New to the festival this year is the Empanada Happy Hour at Bunbury restaurant in Wynwood.

Paula Costa: “We are going to offer six different kind of empanadas and some other surprises. Be ready to eat a lot of empanadas.”

These aren’t your typical empanadas! You’ll nosh on puffs stuffed with lamb, chicken and veggies.

Paula Costa: “We have our signature empanadas, the Bunbury empanadas, which is prosciutto, mushroom and brie.”

All perfectly paired with different Chilean wines!

Had too much wine? Get a taste of the tropics at another new event: The Art of Tiki: A Cocktail Showdown.

Robert Ferrara: “It’s hosted by everyone’s favorite chef: Emeril Lagasse.”

Bam! Emeril will judge some of the best bartenders from around the nation, like Robert Ferrara from the Rum Line at Loews Miami Beach, as they compete to concoct the best tiki drink!

Robert Ferrara: “We have to create a one-of-a-kind cocktail on the spot. This is more for the average person who can go have great cocktails, great food, raw bar platters, Cuban sandwiches, shrimp tostones.”

Wrap up the weekend, with a Sunday Bloody Sunday at the Ritz-Carlton South Beach.

Danny Zeenberg: “We’ve got a fantastic event planned for Sunday, Feb. 22. Francesco Lafranconi from Southern Wine & Spirits is going to be exploring the Bloody Mary.”

You’ll learn how to make five very different types of Bloody Marys.

Danny Zeenberg: “From Bloody Marys including moonshines, gin based, organic vodkas, and even flavored vodkas from around the world.”

But of course, the fun is in the tasting. Happy South Beach Wine & Food Festival, everybody!

Tickets are going fast, so get them now!
