MIAMI (AP) — Republican presidential candidate Marco Rubio travels Monday to Georgia and North Carolina, two of several southern states holding their primaries March 1.

The Florida senator is making stops in Atlanta and Charlotte to meet voters in both cities. He’s also scheduled as a guest on ABC’s "This Week" on Sunday.

Rubio is coming off another strong performance following the second GOP debate held Wednesday in California. The first was in August in Ohio.

Rubio has received high marks from conservative pundits and others for his command of foreign policy, but the praise hasn’t translated into higher poll numbers. He’s in single digits nationally and in early primary states.
