At the new Viceroy Hotel on Brickell, enjoy the rush of taking the elevator up 50 floors to Club 50's rooftop bar. Both the inside and outside lounges offer panoramic views of the city.
Carmel: "We have amazing views all around Miami. You can see all the way out to the Atlantic Ocean, over Brickell."
The outside rooftop patio is enclosed like a garden with plenty of cozy places to lounge and sip cocktails under the stars.
Monica Williams: "I enjoy being outside, especially on a night like this when it's not so hot."
If you don't like your hair whipping in the wind, the view from 50's inside lounge is just as breathtaking, and they offer a small tapas menu.
Nelson Hernandez: "The inside is just beautiful. You get a beautiful view of the cityscape of Miami."
Carmel: "This amazing lounge vibe, just very sexy and sophisticated."
Further south, in Coconut Grove's Cabana One, at the newly-remodeled Mayfair Hotel is the area's only rooftop bar.
Wilie Vega: "They've redone it beautifully, and then Cabana One is like the icing on the cake."
Gillian Gordon: "We have 360 degrees of the Biscayne Bay, Downtown Miami and the ocean as well."
You can enjoy the rooftop hideaway, even if you're not a hotel guest. There are private poolside cabanas to rent during the day, and then the place kicks it up a notch for happy hour.
Gillian Gordon: "We have our happy hour Monday through Thursdays, 4 to 8 p.m.– half price well drinks, $5 martinis."
Cabana One also turns into a late night club on Friday and Saturday nights with a DJ and bottle service, but our recommendation, go have a cocktail and watch the sunset while the boats on the bay skim by.
Willie Vega: "It's not just watching the sunset, it's feeling the sunset, and that's what you get here at Cabana One."
Cabana One parties until 3 a.m. on the weekends. The Viceroy is in Brickell, so the partying shuts down at 1 a.m.
