DALLAS (WSVN) — NFL quarterback Johnny Manziel has been indicted by a Dallas County grand jury on a misdemeanor assault with bodily injury charge, Dallas radio station KRLD-AM and other sources are reporting.
The free agent quarterback is accused of hitting ex-girlfriend Colleen Crowley in late January in suburban Dallas.
Manziel had been drafted with much fanfare by the Cleveland Browns, but he was cut from the team in March. On Tuesday, he was fired by his second agent in three months.
According to the report, Manziel reached an out-of-court settlement with Crowley. He is barred from seeing her until February 2018.
