WSVN — Who has money to blow on something you’ll use once or twice? Savings blogger Leanette Fernandez says the trick is renting.

Leanette Fernandez: "Pretty much everything’s available for rent online these days."

We know about renting tuxedos, but the men don’t get to have all the fun!

#1: GIRLS JUST WANNA HAVE OPTIONS!
Leanette Fernandez: "When it comes to dresses for maybe a prom or a wedding you’re attending, even your wedding dress, you should really consider renting instead of buying it."

Check out sites like Rent the Runway and Gwynnie Bee. You rent clothes you love and then send them back!

#2: NAIL DOWN SAVINGS
It probably doesn’t hurt to have a simple toolbox around the house, but for those bigger jobs, check out number two on our list. Rent your tools or cleaning equipment.

Leanette Fernandez: "Even to clean our floors, I’ve gotten together with a family member, and we’ve rented a day and split the cost."

#3: GAME ON!
You can cut the cost of your kids’ expensive video games by renting them. You can rent video games and movies online or from one of those boxes we all know!

#4: SAVE COLLEGE CASH
Listen up, all you college kids! Who needs memories of that tough chemistry class taking up space on the bookshelf after class is done? BookRenter or Chegg offers textbooks for rent.

#5: TEST DRIVE EXERCISE EQUIPMENT
Number five on our list will have you exercising your right to savings. Rent a treadmill or stair climber! Think of it like a test drive before buying it!

#6: FORGET THE PACK ‘N’ PLAY
Planning on traveling for the holidays?

Leanette Fernandez: "If you’re traveling with kids, which is stressful all on its own, and you have to take all of this equipment with you, you may not have the space to do so, or it might just be a pain."

Sites like Baby’s Away let you rent stuff like cribs, strollers and car seats.

#7: RENT FOR ETERNITY
Rounding out our list, number 7 is one that is a little unorthodox, but it is catching on!

Leanette Fernandez: "What some funeral parlors are doing now is actually renting out a casket."

Yep, you heard that right. Rather than spending thousands on a fancy casket, rent the nice one for the service and then buy a less expensive one for, well, eternity.

Remember, pretty much everything is available for rent online these days!
