MIAMI (WSVN) — Adrianna De Moura, a star on the Real Housewives of Miami, heated things up for a good cause.
The Brazilian beauty posed nude in a bathtub for an animal rights group's latest campaign.
It's set to highlight the plight of Lolita, the lone killer whale PETA said has been imprisoned at Miami Seaquarium for over 40 years.
De Moura's native Brazil is one of the few countries that has completely banned the captivity of marine animals for entertainment.
"It's a spirit, it's a soul," De Moura said. "It's an animal that should be living freely in the wild. To me, the way she's been incarcerated for all these years, is just wrong on so many levels."
The Miami Seaquarium released a statement that said, "There is no scientific evidence that the 48-year-old, post-reproductive Lolita could survive if she was returned to the ocean. It would be irresponsible, reckless and cruel to treat her life as an experiment and jeopardize her health and safety in order to appease a group of activists. These individuals will never be satisfied with the care she receives."
