Another good tip is to fill your car up with gas as the storm approaches before an evacuation is ordered.
Finally, traffic patterns can change, so make sure you have a GPS or a map.
When the wind begins to blow, your best bet is to put your car in the garage. If you can’t, park it as close to the house as possible to protect it from flying debris.
