MIAMI (WSVN) - According to the latest Quinnipiac University poll, Donald Trump would fall to both Bernie Sanders and Hillary Clinton in Florida during the general election.

Considering that (at the time of this article), the general election is still months away, the 3,000 voters polled shows a very tight race.

According to the poll, Clinton would beat Trump in a very tight race in the Sunshine State. Clinton would pull in 43 percent of the votes, while Trump would pull in 42 percent. However, these results do fall into the margin of error. These results are also repeated in Pennsylvania, while in Ohio, Clinton would lose to Trump — receiving 39 percent of the votes while Trump gets 43 percent.

Clinton is currently hoping to get the support of families. However, according to those polled, democratic presidential rival Bernie Sanders receives the support of families.

The poll shows Sanders receiving 44 percent of votes in Florida and Trump receiving 42 percent of the votes. In Ohio, Bernie is also victorious, receiving 43 percent of the votes in comparison to Trump’s 41 percent.

Finally, Sanders again beat Trump in Pennsylvania with 47 percent of votes, while Trump only receives 41 percent. The Vermont senator hopes that this sends a serious message to voters and party leaders.

Pollsters chose Florida, Ohio and Pennsylvania because no presidential candidate, since 1960, has won office without winning support from at least two of the three states.
