CINCINNATI (AP) — A fundraiser for Hillary Clinton’s presidential campaign has been postponed in the aftermath of the Orlando nightclub shootings.
A campaign spokeswoman says the private Cincinnati event will be rescheduled for Wednesday. The presumptive Democratic nominee was going ahead with a campaign appearance and speech Monday in Cleveland.
Cincinnati Mayor John Cranley says the fundraiser at his home was postponed to honor the Orlando victims. Cranley also rescheduled a planned Monday press conference for Wednesday.
The Hamilton County area that includes Cincinnati has been the largest swing county in swing-state Ohio in recent presidential elections. Democrat Barack Obama carried it twice while winning Ohio in both of his elections.
