PALM BEACH, Fla. (AP) — Here’s a question: If Donald Trump is elected president, would he ban planes from Palm Beach International Airport from flying over his prized Mar-a-Lago Club nearby?

Trump has tried for two decades through the Federal Aviation Administration and the courts to force departing airliners to turn before reaching the historic and exclusive 17-acre estate. It lies 2.5 miles east of the airport’s primary runway.

As president, Trump could order the FAA to divert the flights. He told The Associated Press in a recent interview that he wouldn’t do that.

Trump currently has a $100 million lawsuit against the airport, saying the planes have damaged Mar-a-Lago.

The airport declined comment.
