HOMESTEAD, Fla. (WSVN) — Police are searching for the driver who struck and killed a pedestrian.
The incident occurred on US-1 and Southwest 157th Avenue, Friday.
According to police, three people were crossing the intersection when two of them were struck by one car, then run over by a second.
The second driver took off, leaving a 30-year-old father of three to die in the street. "The truck hit him and dragged him like 15 feet, and the truck left," said the victim's cousin. "We don't know what the description of the truck was. We just know it was a truck. It was going at a high speed, to the point that my cousin got knocked out [of] his shoes."
Police are looking for a small red pickup. If you have any information on this truck, call Miami-Dade Crime Stoppers at 305-471-TIPS. Remember, you can always remain anonymous, and you may be eligible for a reward.
