MIAMI (WSVN) — More than 26,000 people hit the streets of Downtown Miami, Thursday night, for the 2016 Mercedes-Benz Corporate Run.
Local runners and walkers flooded the streets of Downtown for a 5K run, covering 3.1 miles, alongside their teams. According to the organization, 860 companies were represented and over 200 CEOs from around South Florida were in attendance.
But the 5K didn’t come without some disruption to traffic. Miami Police blocked off several streets, including Biscayne Boulevard, until the end of the event.
Participants and their friends and families ended the evening at their respective corporation’s tent to enjoy food, laughs and some fireworks.
This is the third and final race in this year’s Corporate Run series.
