Oktoberfest is in full swing, and we found one of the best deals on craft beers in South Florida. Plus, a place for you beer geeks who want to brew your own. 7’s Belkys Nerey soaks up the suds in tonight’s Style File.

Raise your glass to Oktoberfest! If you’re looking for good beer at great prices, pull up to the bar at the Old Hollywood Beer House.

Tim Schwaegler: “We have about 200 beers, 20 drafts, 180 bottles. If you can see it on the wall, we have it.”

Jenniffer Hunt: “They have one of the most extensive collections you can get. I’ve been drinking a lot of pumpkin beers.”

While the words craft beer can often mean scary-high prices, the new beer house is setting the bar low when it comes to cost.

Tim Schwaegler: “Our price is special. Everything here is $3.”

Peter Monks: “I can come in here and try any kind of beer I want, and it’s all the same price.”

Jenniffer Hunt: “I love how quaint and old-fashioned it is.”

No plasma TV screens here. Instead, black and white movies play on TVs with rabbit ears.

Tim Schwaegler: “Something pure about that analog style.”

And old records line the walls of their Play Room, a room where you can kick back and relax with your buds and a brew.

Peter Monks: “Everyone can talk and have a great conversation.”

Jenniffer Hunt: “You come in here and you feel like everyone knows you, knows your drink.”

For those beer geeks who want to brew their own, stop by the new Biscayne Home Brew.

Aaron Busch: “Some people just get the bug for it. It’s a great hobby. It produces delicious results.”

They offer advice and sell everything you need to create your own Oktoberfest at home.

Aaron Busch: “We help them weigh out all the grains, then we grind the grains through the mill, bag it for them. They buy all the hops and the yeast that they need.”

And if you want to learn how to brew, they’ll teach ya.

Aaron Busch: “We hold home brewing classes every Saturday at noon. We walk everyone through the simple steps of how to brew a beer.”

They also sell about 115 different craft beers, so you can carry out and party at home.

Aaron Busch: “We carry Dogfish Head, Victory, Lagunitas, Stone, all sorts of craft beers. Whatever we can get our hands on in Florida.”

For an upscale Oktoberfest, the Ritz-Carlton Coconut Grove has created a beer garden with craft beers, music and a German-inspired menu. That’s happening this Saturday and Sunday, starting at 3 p.m.
