WASHINGTON (AP) –President Barack Obama will give a public update Monday on what the U.S. is doing to fight the Islamic State group.

U.S. officials have insisted there are no specific, credible threats to the country, but the apparent lack of warning before the San Bernardino, California, shootings has raised concerns about whether the U.S. has a handle on potential attacks.

Obama will hold a meeting at the Pentagon today and travel to the National Counterterrorism Center on Thursday.
