NORTH MIAMI BEACH, Fla. (WSVN) — Police are searching for the thief or thieves responsible for breaking into South Florida restaurants.

North Miami Beach Police have not connected the two restaurant burglaries that happened in late May but continue to search for the subjects caught on surveillance cameras.

The first burglary occurred at Thai House II, located at 2250 NE 163rd Street. Police said the thief gained entry through a back door then made his way to the office before taking off with a cash box. His actions were captured on surveillance cameras.

The second burglary happened at El Gran Inka located at 3155 NE 163rd Street. Authorities said the crook also broke in through an unlocked back door. He can also be seen on camera going through the employees items and then taking off with a safe.

If you have any information on these burglaries, call Miami-Dade Crime Stoppers at 305-471-TIPS. Remember, you can always remain anonymous, and you may be eligible for a reward.
