POMPANO BEACH, Fla. (WSVN) — South Florida motorcyclists are riding for a reason, Saturday.

The 27th annual Southeast Police Motorcycle Rodeo took place at the Pompano Citi Centre mall, near Northeast 19th Street and Federal Highway.

This competition benefited the Cops Kids charity, which is an organization dedicated to helping children and families who have lost loved ones in the line of duty.

"We’re having a rodeo competition," said Coral Springs Police Department Officer Chris Swinson. "It’s police motorcycles from around the country competing to raise for Cops Kids charities."

The event featured local and surrounding state competitors who skillfully navigated various obstacle courses.
