MIAMI (WSVN) — Code enforcement officers had their hands full, Tuesday afternoon, after an inspection of a trailer park in Miami led to major discoveries of code violations and alleged criminal activity.

According to officials, residents at Paradise Trailer Park near northwest 27th Avenue and South River Drive in Miami are living in deplorable conditions. They say most residents do not have restrooms and are dumping waste out into the river.

According to police, the mobile home park is inhabitable. There are a laundry list of violations including prostitution, murders and drug deals. "Everything from kidnapping to murder, drugs, prostitution, warrants, you name it. It's a wide laundry list of things that occur here and what we are looking to do is clean this place up. Make sure it does not happen in the future," said City of Miami Police Maj. Delish Moss.

Resident Juan Rodriguez who has lived at the park for three months said he feels very unsafe. "I cant wait to get out of here. This is the worst place on the Earth. Prostitution, drugs, fights, this goes on 24-7, non-stop," said Rodriguez.

One former resident chose to be homeless, rather than continue living in the trailer park. "I moved underneath that bridge and out of these trailers," Billye Samuel said. "I got the hell beat out of me every month."

The State Attorney's Office, joined by Miami Police, Fire Rescue and Animal Services, raided the property to perform Operation Life Services, a sweep that officials hope will get the park up to code and crime free.

"What we are doing at this point is we're going to inspect, we are going to look at every trailer, every area, every structure," Moss said. "Figure out if it's safe, figure out if there's a crime occurring there, figure out a wide range of things."

Police have already made one arrest. They say they will continue to investigate to see exactly what is going on and who is to blame.

The city will be moving residents into temporary housing.
