CORAL SPRINGS, Fla. (WSVN) — Wednesday marked nine years since a former FBI agent from South Florida vanished in Iran.
Robert Levinson, from Coral Springs, disappeared while visiting Kish Island. Senator Bill Nelson recently renewed his push to find Levinson and bring him home. "To the President of the United States, to the Secretary of State, to the head of the FBI, to the head of all of our alphabet agencies, it’s time to get the information about Bob and bring him home," said Nelson.
A 2013 Associated Press investigation said Levinson was working for the CIA on a secret mission to gain information about Iran’s nuclear program.
The Iranian government insists that he is not being held hostage.
