MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. (WSVN) — A South Florida church opened its doors to help stop violence in the community and to keep kids on the right track.
The New Beginnings Missionary Baptist Church in Miami Gardens will hold weekly after-school programs. "For children that are going in the wrong direction, risk kids," said Pastor Eric Readon at New Beginning Missionary Baptist Church. "We want the baddest of the baddest children so that we can push them in the right direction."
The program is being offered every Wednesday at the church.
