LOXAHATCHEE, Fla. (WSVN) — Florida Fish and Wildlife officials pulled over a man who, they said, was driving around with alligator parts scattered inside the cab of his truck.

The first thing FWC officers noticed was a gator’s foot in the dashboard, along with the scent of dead alligator.

According to officials, the man told FWC officers he had hunted the gator a few years ago, but officers said the gator’s scent hinted that the gator was recently hunted.

The man eventually confessed to killing the gator a few days ago and was cited for hunting an alligator without a permit.

His name was not released by authorities. Officials said if you think someone has taken or is in possession of an alligator illegally, call their Wildlife Alert Hotline at 888-404-FWCC (3922). You can also email Tip@MyFWC.com.
