SOUTHWEST MIAMI-DADE, FLA. (WSVN) - A newborn belonging to an endangered species of zebras made its grand Zoo Miami debut.

The local zoo welcomed a baby imperial zebra, also known as a Grévy’s zebra. The male foal made his first appearance beside his mother at the park’s zebra exhibit, Wednesday.

This is the zoo’s 17th birth of the endangered species.
