SOUTHWEST MIAMI-DADE, FLA. (WSVN) - Some feathered friends are on the move at Zoo Miami.
A flock of flamingos was transferred into their new exhibit, Friday. The birds been out of the public eye for more than a year while crews worked on it.
The expansive habitat is still the first thing visitors will see when they enter the zoo.
The new space is part of a $44 million upgrade and expansion project. It is scheduled to open to the public July 15.
