MIAMI BEACH, FLA. (WSVN) - Police are investigating after a woman’s body washed ashore on Miami Beach.
A vacationer discovered the body after it washed ashore near Collins Avenue and 39th Street early Friday morning.
“I noticed that there was a lady waving in the water, going back and forth like in and out of the shore, and I thought maybe she was just relaxing. I didn’t think anything of it,” said David Siberon, who found the body, “so I noticed that she wasn’t moving, and then there was another guy that was with me. He was the one that ended up calling 911 and then they came, and she was dead.”
The woman’s identity and cause of death have not been released.
Detectives are now investigating.
