PLANTATION, FLA. (WSVN) - A woman was taken to the hospital after, officials said, she was struck by two cars in Plantation, Wednesday morning.

7Skyforce HD hovered above the scene along North Pine Island Road and Clearly Boulevard shortly after Plantation Police and Fire Rescue responded.

Officials said a car hit the victim while she was crossing the street, just after 6 a.m. That driver stopped to help the injured woman when another driver struck her and took off.

The woman was rushed to Broward Health Medical Center in critical condition.

Police continue to look for the second driver who fled. Investigators said the vehicle is either a tan or beige Ford SUV that may have front-end damage.

The first driver who hit the woman did not suffer any injuries and stayed at the scene.

If you have any information on the second hit-and-run driver, call Broward County Crime Stoppers at 954-493-TIPS. Remember, you can always remain anonymous, and you may be eligible for a $3,000 reward.
