OAKLAND PARK, FLA. (WSVN) - Police are investigating after a woman was found dead inside a room at a Days Inn motel in Oakland Park.
Authorities received a medical distress call Monday afternoon, prior to finding the woman’s body at the motel, located along the 1500 block of West Oakland Park Boulevard.
The incident occurred on the fifth floor of the motel.
Investigators are currently reviewing surveillance footage and interviewing motel staff and guests.
The cause of death is still unknown.
The case is being investigated as a homicide.
