MIAMI (WSVN) - Cellphone video captured a wrong-way driver on a busy expressway in Miami.

It was a bizarre and concerning sight at around 8:20 a.m. Monday as witnesses captured a white pickup truck driving the wrong way on State Road 112’s westbound lanes.

“I was like, ‘This guy is crazy,'” witness Dairon Prado said. “I take out my phone, and I just started recording, and everybody was just beeping. The traffic was going this way, and he was going that way.”

Other cars could be seen slowing down as the truck drove into oncoming traffic.

“Luckily, the other drivers moved along — like the other way — and nothing really happened,” Prado said.

According to Florida Highway Patrol, they received reports of the wrong-way driver near the cross-section of 17th Avenue, then again near 12th Avenue. On the video, the truck appeared to slow down just before the footage ends.

When troopers were sent out to respond to the scene, they had no luck finding the driver.

“He went on to a different exit,” Prado said. “Luckily, nobody got hurt.”

FHP officials said they did not receive any reports of crashes or injuries relating to the wrong-way driver, but they continue to search for the driver involved.
