HIALEAH, FLA. (WSVN) - Grocery shopping in Miami-Dade is about to get a whole lot easier.

The Wal-Mart in Miami Gardens already allows shoppers to place orders on-line, and they will have your groceries ready for curbside pick-up. On Monday, the program will expand to a Hialeah Wal-mart, at 5851 NW 177th St., Hialeah, FL 33015.

Wal-Mart hopes to soon offer the service at every location in Miami-Dade.

According to Wal-Mart, the free service is now available at more than 320 stores nationwide, and customers will never even have to leave their cars.

“Our customers have told us that grocery pick up is a game changer. They are now able to complete their grocery shopping in a matter of minutes — between errands or on their way home from an after school activity — without even unbuckling their seat belts.”

Customers will be able to choose from over 30,000 items, including fresh produce, meats and organic groceries.

Here’s how it works: visit www.walmart.com/grocery or open the Walmart Grocery mobile app on your smartphone, enter your zip code, and create a shopping list. Then, during checkout, select a time to pick up the orders.

After the order is placed, a trained Wal-Mart Personal Grocery Shopper will select all the items you requested — and they guarantee they will be choosing the freshest produce.

Once you arrive to your Wal-Mart to pick up your order, you will park in a designed parking space, which has a special number. You will call that number to alert an associate.

This associate will quickly grab your shopping bags and load them into your car, and you’re done!
