FORT LAUDERDALE, FLA. (WSVN) - One of 7News leading ladies helped recognize women of dignity, strength and perseverance, Wednesday.
Belkys Nerey was honored to be the mistress of ceremonies at the Fifth Annual United Way of Broward’s Magnolia Luncheon. The event took place at the Hyatt Regency Pier Sixty-Six in Fort Lauderdale.
Community activist, Allison Cagnetta, received the Magnolia Leadership Award for her impact in her community through hard work and philanthropic efforts.
The Corporate Award was presented to Memorial Healthcare System. They were recognized for their high number of female donors, who contribute year in and year out to the United Way.
Women United was created back in 2010 to encourage women leaders within the community to pledge a commitment to United Way of Broward County.
