FORT LAUDERDALE, FLA. (WSVN) - Fort Lauderdale Fire Rescue was on the scene where a landscaping truck struck a home in Fort Lauderdale, taking the life of one person and leaving two others critically injured.
According to Fort Lauderdale Police, the incident occurred at a home along Northwest 13th Street and 23rd Avenue, at around 1:15 p.m., Tuesday.
Police said the truck driver lost control after suffering a medical issue and drove into the home. The impact killed him and sent two other people to the hospital.
According to officials, the landscaping truck was towing a trailer with equipment, including a lawnmower. The crash caused a lawnmower to propel onto the roof of the home.
No one in the home was injured.
