MIAMI (WSVN) - Drivers heading to Downtown Miami, Friday, encountered heavy traffic delays because Donald Trump, Kanye West and Meghan Trainor were all in the area.

Kanye West’s Saint Pablo Tour is hitting the American Airlines Arena Friday and Saturday night, drawing hundreds of thousands of fans to the area. West’s concert started at 8 p.m., Friday.

Also making an appearance downtown was Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump. He drew a crowd of his own at his presidential rally at the Haitian Cultural Center in Little Haiti at 4 p.m., and held a rally at the James L. Knight Center at 6 p.m.

Lastly, but certainly not least, Meghan Trainor performed at 7 p.m. at Bayfront Park Amphitheatre.

“One of the things you can do is come early and go to one of our great restaurants in downtown Miami and make an evening out of it,” said Alyce Robertson, Executive Director of Miami Downtown Development Authority. “Walk around downtown and see your downtown and how it’s changed over the past few years.”

City of Miami Police Department’s Frederica Burden advised anyone attending the events to arrive early.

“Come out a little earlier, start a little earlier,” Burden said. “There’s gonna be a lot of congestion, but you just have to be patient.”

For drivers who want to skip the inevitable traffic jam, it is advised you avoid the area, Friday afternoon into the evening.

The Metrorail remained in service for easy transportation around the area. Also, carpooling through a rideshare app such as Uber or Lyft allowed attendees to avoid the hassle of parking.
