DAVIE, FLA. (WSVN) - A South Florida tow truck driver turned himself in after a deadly hit-and-run in Davie.
The man, who surrendered to authorities Monday, was charged with leaving the scene of an accident involving a death.
According to Davie Police, the motorist hit a woman while driving near Griffin Road and State Road 7, Saturday night, and took off. The pedestrian died at the scene.
Officers later found his truck a short distance away from the scene.
Officials said they will reveal the driver’s identity later on Monday.
