MIAMI (WSVN) - Sloths have been a viral hit on YouTube and social media sites for years, and now, Jungle Island has a baby, two-toed sloth to add to their “sloth family.”

The cuddly, button-nose, female baby sloth was born on the Fourth of July at Jungle Island to parents Myrtle and Herbert. The parents have been a hit at the zoo for years, according to officials, so the arrival of their tiny offspring was great news for the zoo.

“We are always thrilled whenever we have new additions at Jungle Island, but we are particularly proud to introduce the newest member of our family – a two-toed baby sloth,” said Dr. Jason Chatfield, vice president of zoological operations. “She is almost a month old and can be seen tightly holding onto mom as they travel slowly about their cozy enclosure. We are very fortunate that mom is taking excellent care of her baby.”

There are both two-toed and three-toed sloths in captivity and in the wild.

Now, Jungle Island officials are calling for sloth fans on social media to help them decide on one of three names based on popular animal animated films

  1. Flash
  2. Sid
  3. Velcro

In order to participate, post the photo of the baby sloth on Facebook, tag a friend, and caption your post with your favorite name along with the hashtag #JungleIsland. The winner will be selected at random at the conclusion of the Jungle Pass offer, on Aug. 31, and will receive a free family four-pack of Jungle Passes.

Oh, and by the way — according to the zoo, Jungle Island is a hot spot for Pokémon Go (but you didn’t hear it from us).
