KEY BISCAYNE, FLA. (WSVN) - A teen who was arrested after a deadly car crash in Key Biscayne is once again behind bars.

According to The Miami Herald, 17-year-old Isaias Medina is back in jail after tampering with his GPS ankle monitor while on house arrest.

Medina has been charged as an adult for vehicular homicide.

He was originally arrested on New Year’s Day, after crashing his Porsche into a tree on Harbor Drive in Key Biscayne, killing his backseat passenger, 18-year-old college student, Daniela San Miguel.

She died at the scene.

Investigators said Medina was speeding at the time of the crash.
