STUART, Fla. (WSVN) — The 19-year-old who allegedly broke into a Stuart home and attacked a 55-year-old woman and her son, Sunday, apologized as he was released from the hospital Tuesday.
Nico Gallo is accused of smashing his body through the window of a Stuart home and attacking the mother and son. The pair fought back, hitting him with a baseball bat and holding him down until police arrived.
The suspect, who told the victims he had taken flakka, apologized for his actions as he was released from the hospital, Tuesday, and taken to jail.
When asked if he had any regrets, Gallo responded, “I do have regrets. I regret ever taking the drugs that I was on, and I regret breaking into that house, and I regret hurting those people.”
Asked if there was anything he wanted to say to the victims, he said, “I’m dearly sorry.”
Gallo faces burglary with assault charges.
